The Vissco New Tennis Elbow Support with pressure pad is very effective at compressing the muscle and limiting its use. When braced properly, an immediate improvement is noticeable. The elbow support when worn, prevents jerks reaching the tennis elbow.
This orthopaedically designed support is a innovative and unique device, scientifically designed to aid in the relief and prevention of pain associated with Tendonitis, Tennis Elbow, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Repetitive Stress Injuries (RSI) and Cumulative Trauma Disorders (CTD).
Tennis Elbow Support is made from padded fabric with hook and loop fasteners. For best results, wear 2 inches below the elbow (see pictures 1 & 2). Apply the pressure pad on the inflamed area of the pain (see picture 3).
What is Tennis Elbow ?
If you suffer from pain over the outside of the elbow, you may have Tennis Elbow. This condition usually comes on slowly over time.
The elbow joint range of motion usually remains near normal, but motion is usually painful. Tennis Elbow is caused by repetitive rotation of the forearm. The most causative motion being extension of the wrist with rotation of the forearm against resistance.
This motion is very descriptive of the tennis swing, hence the name 'Tennis Elbow'.
Symptoms of Tennis Elbow
Patients with the Tennis Elbow syndrome experience pain on the outside of the elbow that is worsened by grasping objects and cocking back the wrist. The most common symptoms of Tennis Elbow are :

Pain when lifting objects
Pain radiating down the forearm

The most effective conventional and alternative treatments for Tennis Elbow have the same basic principle : Rest the arm until the pain disappears, then massage to relieve stress and tension in the muscles, and exercise to strengthen the area and prevent re-injury.
If you must go back to whatever caused the problem in the first place, be sure to warm up your arm for at least 10 minutes with gentle stretching and movement before starting any activity. Take frequent breaks. Wear the Tennis Elbow Brace when in pain or when required.
